This clip has Cesar Romero dancing Rhumba (remarkably similar to Salsa) with Alice Faye to "Romantic Rhumba". From the 1941 20th Century Fox musical "A week-End in Havana".
They say that Tango is the dance of passion, and Rhumba is the Dance of Love.
The current generation probably has no clue as to who Cesar Romero is. My generation remembers him as "The Joker" from the old Batman TV show. But, before obscurity and clown-dom, he was one helluva suave motion picture co-star dude. And this clip shows how cool and savoir-faire can add flair to the simplest of steps. Don't need to be trying to spin the lady all over the dance floor and pulling her shoulder out with fancy arm acrobatics.
Remember you Leaders, when in doubt, Nice and easy does it every time.
