1st INTERNATIONAL MEETING WITH
THE GREAT MILONGUEROS OF
BUENOS AIRES
This year, the 5th WORLD TANGO FESTIVAL will take place simultaneously with the First International Meeting with the Great Milongueros of Buenos Aires.
Along the week, the festival's participants will attend special workshops, taught by "milongueros porteños" from different neighbourhoods. They have witnessed the early days of Tango and its developement through the last decades within the ambient of the most emblematic Milongas in Buenos Aires.
In these unique classes, that will include testimonial and documentary material, the Great Milongueros of all times will expose the characteristics and evolution of Tango through the decades, sharing their impressions and experiences. In addition, they will show and teach steps and figures that were born right on the dancefloor of the milongas porteñas, where these milongueros have been, and still are, dear and reputable characters, well known by their precious contribution to the History of Tango.
